The setup
1) Players stand in a circle, facing each other.
2) Choose one player to start the game.
How to play
1) The starting player claps toward someone and says “Zip.”
2) That player immediately claps toward someone else and says “Zap.”
3) The next player claps and says “Zop.”
4) The pattern repeats — Zip, Zap, Zop — passed quickly and in order.
5) If someone breaks the order, hesitates, or says the wrong word, they’re out (optional rule).
How to win
This game is often played for fun or warm-up — no winners unless you play elimination-style.
Game variations
- Play with new words or sounds (e.g., “Bing Bang Bong”).
- Go backwards or speed up progressively.
