How to play Sardines

Other name(s): Reverse hide and seek, Smee

The setup

1) Choose one player to be the hider; all others are seekers.
2) Define clear boundaries for the playing area.
3) Seekers close their eyes and count while the hider finds a hiding spot.

How to play

1) Seekers search for the hidden player.
2) When a seeker finds the hider, they quietly join them.
3) Last seeker to find the group becomes the next hider.

How to win

There is no winner, but the last seeker to find the hiding group is next to hide.

Game variations

Play in the dark or use flashlights.
Set a timer for added urgency.
