The setup
1) Find five small, round stones or plastic pieces about the size of a grape. Sit on a flat surface like a floor or table.
How to play
1) Scatter the stones on the ground. Pick one as your “main” stone.
2) Toss the main stone in the air, quickly pick up another stone, and catch the main stone before it lands. Repeat, increasing the number of stones picked up per toss (up to 4 at once).
3) The challenge gets harder as you try to collect more stones in one motion.
How to win
Complete all the phases (1 through 5) without dropping the main stone or failing a pickup.
Game variations
- Use rubber or plastic Gonggi pieces designed specifically for the game.
- Play competitively with others by timing turns or tracking successful sequences.
